Chair and Founding Executive Director
Raised in New York City, Tiffany was raised in a kinship household where family was important, and strength was instilled as a way to get through life. However, at 12 years of age, Tiffany was taken out of her kinship home and fell deeper into the foster care system. After years of trying to figure out life on her own despite being a ward of the state, Tiffany became a teenage mother. Not wanting to further meet foster youth's key facts and statistics, Tiffany returned to school and obtained a high school diploma, an Associate degree in Business Management, and completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
In addition to operating Once Like You, Inc., Tiffany is a business professional at a Fortune 500 Company, an active participant in the operations of the company, an e-commerce business owner, a philanthropist, and an enthusiastic believer in not staying where you begin. Tiffany prides herself on being "a rose that grew from the concrete jungle."
As a survivor, Tiffany wants to reach back to a community that goes unnoticed after reaching the ages of 18 - 21. During her career, Tiffany accessed invaluable experiences and knowledge, and she wants to see more New York City foster youth exposed to the same opportunities. Many New York City neighborhoods have a significant population of social and economic issues; many minority foster youths are homeless, trafficked, incarcerated, or victims of a lack of resources. With her own personal encounter with life's unfortunate circumstances and understanding the importance of not having guidance, she desires to strive for change and become a resource.
After years of contemplation and having the goal of launching a non-profit organization benefiting her community, Once Like You, Inc. began in 2020 in North Carolina, where Tiffany lived; however, from 2021-2022, Tiffany decided to bring Once Like You, Inc. to New York City where her journey began and the support from her community, family, and friends resides. As of 2023, Once Like You, Inc. is a New York State non-profit and a federally registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
